Cootamundra Flood Warning System Review
Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council engaged Water Technology to undertake a Flood Warning System Review. The review was conducted in association with flood consultants and feedback from Cootamundra residents who attended drop-in sessions, and an online engagement portal was be provided to enable residents and businesses to pin their comments to a map covering the Cootamundra area. The drop-in session enabled residents and businesses to give feedback on their flood experiences and discuss possible improvements to the existing flood warning system.
Members of the Cootamundra SES, Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council and other emergency services had input and will have access to the Flood Warning System ensuring future flooding events are managed within expected levels and resource capacity.
The Cootamundra Flood Warning System review has been funded by 24-25 NSW State Floodplain Management Program.
