BREAK AND ENTER DISAPPOINTS MAYOR

Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council (CGRC), mayor Cr Abb McAlister has said he is very disappointed with the break and enter that occurred at the Stan Crowe Oval kiosk last week.

“Along with the sporting groups, Council staff and my fellow councillors I’m really saddened that we have an element within our community who have taken to stealing from the very bodies that support and provide facilities that enhance our community,” Cr McAlister said.

The kiosk was broken into between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning (29/30 July). Police have investigated and the scene fingerprinted, further investigations are continuing.

“I am urging all community members to be vigilant, report suspicious behaviour around our Council facilities to Council,” Cr McAlister added.

CGRC will be increasing security around the site.
